Red Orchestra just underwent a sale for 4.99 until October 20th 2008.
Fortunately I was able to pick it up before the sale ended. Originally I was playing COD4 (Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare) but was looking for something a little more realistic.
Red Orchestra is a great game, depending on what you're looking for. I personally like automatic weapons which is something RO doesn't have much of. The game is based on the German wars of 1941-1945 with ironsights of some pretty old school rifles.
Aside from the fact that the game requires a good amount of accuracy to stay alive, it is still very fun because of the teamplay that is used. When you're trying to capture a zone for example, you could have your leader smoke the area for easier infiltration.
The thing about this game that has you rely on the other players is that each side only has a limited number of classes. Generals, snipers and engineers are grabbed fairly quickly when a round starts.
Because I'm comparing RO to COD4 I'll have to say that COD4 is still more fun because of the combat speed but, RO defeats COD4 in realism.
