There are quite a few applications that use this same engine. The whole money/strength/energy thing.
To be honest, I hate it. And I hate it with a passion. These games are so boring that they're refitted over (that I know of) at least 10 of them to suit different public.
There is no dynamic-ness to these games because you're always waiting for energy to fight battles, do quests, run the runway, or whatever the theme is.
Fortunately, Dragon Wars is keeping my attention a little longer by adding in some type of Java Script games into the missions. This way, you don't just click and wait for more energy.. You click for the mission and get to run around killing something.
It's not that I'm not a fan of text based web games, I just think that it is very rare that you find a complex and dynamic web based game in this style.
I still have to say that Dragon Wars is a waste of time to add but, if the minigame gets a little quicker and becomes rpg styled, I'd give it a thumbs up.
